HER STORY

Kimberly Nichelle is a native from Birmingham, Alabama and has been residing in the Atlanta area for 18 years. She studied TV Production & Journalism at The University of Alabama at Birmingham and graduated with a Master of Science in Business Management from the University of Maryland which led her on the trajectory to filmmaking and opening a production business.

Kimberly has always been passionate for the arts. She began her acting and writing career at a very young age and has continued to hone these creative skills throughout her adult years.

As an actress, she has done theater and has been cast in several major films and television series produced in the Georgia area—the new Hollywood of the south. She has done a myriad of roles on camera and behind the camera.

As a prose writer, she published her first poem in 2002 for which she received an Editor’s Choice Award.  Her first book "Reflections of Life: The Love, The Joy and The Afflictions" was published in December, 2010 and is available for sale on Amazon.com. Part of the proceeds from this book benefits Domestic Violence Awareness.  In October 2014, Kimberly was chosen to be a contributing author for Chicken Soup for the Soul for their publication Touched by an Angel. In April, 2019, she again was contacted by Chicken Soup for the Soul to be a contributing author in another publication entitled Running for Good. In 2021, Kimberly Nichelle released "The Thorn in Tori's Toe," a children's book that raises awareness for child abuse. Her most recent literary project is a "Prayer Journal for Women" that empowers spiritual growth and prayer.

After directing her first PSA "Take the Test" ( 2016), Kimberly was motivated to hone her directing skills by filming her first short film, "Exposed Destiny" (2018), a film that advocates for love and acceptance. Aside from her short film, she has completed two additional short screenplays, and is developing a feature screenplay. She is currently writing a Christmas teleplay to be pitched to a major network, such as Hallmark.

A humanitarian at heart, she has created her own non-profit organization, and continues to be a strong advocate for promoting change and creating community awareness through her productions and writing projects.

Reflections of Life Book Cover.jpg

Reflections of Life:The Love, The Joy and The Afflictions

This book is an anthology of Kimberly Nichelle's poems that reflect her past. The poems she has written surfaced from her life experiences, both good and bad, thus her past hardships as a child, broken romantic relationships, and challenging obstacles that she faced in her adult life. The poems were written between 2002 through 2009, with one exception that was written in 2010. The first poem entitled "IT" represents the abuse that she encountered during her earlier childhood. This poem was the overall inspiration for the poetry book. As such, part of the proceeds from the sale of this book is used to benefit non-profit organizations, supporting women and their children with efforts to help them live violence free.

Chicken Soup for the Soul: Touched by an Angel

We often don't hear about angels because people fear that they will be judged as "crazy" or they may simply think they are giving in to their own imagination. The truth is, angels still walk among us and each experience is personal and quite unique.  In this inspiring collection you will be amazed by stories from those who have been touched by an angel including Kimberly Nichelle who shares her miraculous story of how a mysterious advisor changed her path; a path that could have been disastrous for her future.

Chicken Soup for the Soul: Running for Good

Beginning any athletic quest can be a struggle, and oftentimes takes self-discipline, motivation, encouragement, and determination all of which several of the contributing authors in “Running for Good” faced in their fitness pursuits.

Kimberly Nichelle shares her fitness challenge. After an honest self-evaluation of her body and weight mass, she decided to become more disciplined and began a fitness routine that incorporated both walking and running. She explains how these techniques worked for her in order to become "healthier ever after."
